For me, the journey back to the Now always involves some circumambulation. I sit down to be with the trees almost protestingly because I always have bills to pay and dishes to wash and social media to scroll to find out what the hive mind thinks about everything so that my mind can have something to hold onto. If I self destruct in this way long enough however, I make myself extremely miserable, and then there are two things I reach for these days: my spiritual teachers, who point me back to mySelf, and the trees, who point me back to my Heart. And when i listen to neither, it’s the birds, the birds, always the birds that ring the Buddha bell. The birds have always been those angel messengers, little cosmic alarms, gongs of InfinoEternity. They make little me look like an utter fool for ever falling for the nonsense, for reifying a lie.
It’s true sometimes I think the nonsense makes sense while the ultimate Sense makes none. That’s why I go to the trees and the wind and the forest that breathes as one and points in silence. I gatjer the truth and the light in the forest and I come back and maybe tell of it.
That’s why I know to offer what I offer as an invitation, and a holding of space, but other than that the magic belongs to all of us, is us. We all breathe as one, and not just on this planet but everywhere.
And I’m excited to hear the vision of what you come up with when you connect with the Forest-Heart that is your heart. I’m excited for you to bring that beautiful vision to Earth. The co-creation is a cicucambulation too, you see, but of a different quality. At the end of the seeming process, which is simply attunement with reality, we create beauty, goodness and truth, and we rejoice in it collectively.
If this co-creative encounter with nature resonates with you and you’d like to explore further, why don’t you join me in one of my sessions, and if you know someone who would benefit from being held gently by the forest or needs some clarity on their path share my information with them. I can’t promise every session will be transformational in the big way our minds convince us things need to look or feel, but the return to the silence works on us in small ways when we attend to it, until some light breaks through. Just like returning to your sit spot allows more beings to reveal themselves to you and the world to open up to more views, so it is with our inner vistas too.
